Honda Car India is all set to launch the new-generation Amaze on December 4. Ahead of its debut, the Japanese automobile manufacturer has dropped a new teaser of the sedan. Here is all we know so far about the new Amaze ahead of its launch.
Honda Amaze: Engine Specs
Honda has not revealed the figures of the powertrain, but the Amaze is expected to be powered by a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol motor. It will be available in two transmission options — a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic. It will be the only compact sedan to offer a CVT gearbox as the competition is mated to an AMT. Honda could also offer a CNG option.Â
Honda Amaze: Features
The Amaze will be the first vehicle in its segment to come equipped with a Level 1 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite. Recent spy vides have revealed that the Amaze uses camera camera-based ADAS sensor. Here are the ADAS safety features that can be expected in the sedan — Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keep Assist, Forward Collision Avoidance for pedestrians and cyclists, Driver Attention Warning, High Beam Assist and Driver Attention Warning.Â
It will get other convenient features like a large infotainment display, automatic climate control, wireless phone charger, Type C charging ports and rear air condition vents. Â
Honda Amaze: Design
The Amaze will be available in three variants — V, VX and ZX. The sedan sports a wide honeycomb front grille similar to the Elevate and dual pod LED headlights with a slim LED DRL. The front fascia gets a thick chrome strip. From the side, the Amaze looks like a mini City losing its boxy shape. Even the rear LED cluster is similar to the City and gets a shark fin antenna.
