After making its global debut in September 2024, Skoda launched the second generation Kodiaq last month. Offered in two trims: Laurin & Klement (L&K) and Sportline, Skoda has priced the new Kodiaq Rs 46.89 lakh and Rs 48.69 lakh (both ex-showroom), respectively.
Similar to its predecessor, the new-gen Kodiaq is assembled using Completely Knocked Down (CKD) kits at the Volkswagen Group’s facility in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. The Czech carmaker has now started dispatching the premium seven-seat SUV across India. The SUV is now available for test drives in all Skoda showrooms across the country.
New-gen Skoda Kodiaq: Exterior & Interior highlights
The new Skoda Kodiaq, launched in India, features a refined exterior with Skoda’s signature butterfly grille, sleek LED Beam Crystallinium headlamps, and sporty trim-specific accents. The Sportline gets gloss black elements, while the L&K variant adds dark chrome touches. At the rear, a faux diffuser with chrome highlights adds sophistication, and all models feature dual-tone alloy wheels and ‘4×4’ badging.Â

The SUV is now 59 mm longer than its predecessor. Inside, the Sportline offers an all-black theme, while the L&K gets Cognac leather. Both trims share an updated cabin layout with improved ergonomics, including a repositioned gear selector and a tablet holder.
New-gen Skoda Kodiaq: Features
Key highlights of the new Kodiaq include a prominent 13-inch freestanding touchscreen infotainment system, advanced LED matrix headlamps, and a fully digital instrument cluster. Enhancing comfort and convenience are features like dual-zone climate control, ventilated and heated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, and an electrically operated tailgate.
The in-cabin experience is further enriched with multi-color ambient lighting and a premium 13-speaker Canton sound system. Safety and driving assistance are significantly improved with the inclusion of nine airbags and Level 2 ADAS technology. The new Skoda Kodiaq is available in six colour options: Moon White, Magic Black, Graphite Grey, Velvet Red, Race Blue. The Selection L&K gets an exclusive Bronx Gold and the Sportline gets an exclusive Steel Grey.

New-gen Skoda Kodiaq: Powertrain
Built on the MQB37 platform, the second-generation Skoda Kodiaq is powered by a familiar 2.0-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine, delivering 187 bhp and 320 Nm of peak torque. This engine is paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission as standard, while all-wheel drive is also standard across both variants. According to Skoda, the Kodiaq offers an ARAI-certified fuel efficiency of 14.86 kmpl.
