Michelin has launched their Pilot Sport 4 tyres in India. The new performance tyres in their Pilot Sports series have been developed in the crucible of motorsport, for some of the world’s leading auto manufacturers. If you want one, however, you will only find them at Michelin authorised distribution channels.
Mohan Kumar, Executive Vice President, Michelin India said, “Michelin Pilot Sport 4 is designed to give premium and sports car motorists the pleasure of driving without compromising on performance, safety and longevity. The technological innovations in the ultra-responsive tread of this tyre come from Michelin Group’s longstanding experience of innovating for motor racing, most recently for Formula E and our in-depth expertise of dynamic interactions between the architecture, tread pattern, and materials that ensure optimal management of the contact patch with the road”.
The Pilot Sport 4, has been designed to have a velvet like texture that brings out the lettering on the sidewalls. The Michelin Pilot Sport 4 get a wheel rim protector in all sizes, that protects the wheel rims from kerbing damage. The radials on Michelin Pilot Sport 4, are made of aramid and nylon, the fibre is a high density, lightweight fibre that is five times more resistant than steel. In fact, it even gets its asymmetric tread design based on R&D from a Formula E machine for maximum grip in mixed conditions.
