MG ZS EV gets new Excite Pro variant with panoramic sunroof

MG Motor is on a spree to update its portfolio. After the Hector and Comet EV, the company has made a small update to ZS EV by adding a new variant. Named Excite Pro, this new variant is priced at Rs 19.98 lakh (ex-showroom) which is slotted above the base Executive variant. 

With the latest development, MG ZS EV is available in four variants namely–  Executive, Excite Pro, Exclusive Plus, and Essence, with prices starting at Rs 18,98 lakh and going up to Rs 24.98 lakh (both ex-showroom). The new Executive variant comes with a dual-pane, panoramic sunroof.

Speaking at the launch, Gaurav Gupta, Deputy Managing Director, MG Motor India, said, “MG is committed to continuously innovating and offering exciting products to customers at attractive value propositions. After taking customer feedback, using market insights and industry analysis, we have introduced the new variants of our EVs- MG ZS and Comet.”

Powering the ZS EV is a 50.3kWh battery with prismatic cells that returns a certified range of 461 km on a full charge. This battery delivers energy to a PMS electric motor generating 173 bhp and 280 Nm of peak torque. 

Inside the cabin MG ZS EV comes equipped with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a panoramic sunroof, a fully digital instrument cluster, a 360-degree camera, cruise control, drive modes, electric parking brake, air purifier, rear AC vents, a six-way electrically-adjustable driver seat, and wireless charging. 

Further, there are more than 75 connected car features on offer. The ZS EV comes equipped with Level 2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) including lane keep assist and departure warning, adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist, and autonomous emergency braking.
