MG Motor is all set to launch its third electric vehicle in the Indian market. The Windsor EV is going to be the first all-electric multi-purpose vehicle or as MG likes to call it CUV (Crossover Utility Vehicle). The new EV will be priced in between the Comet EV and the ZS EV. Here is all you need to know about the new Windsor EV.
MG Windsor EV: DesignÂ
The Windsor EV sports a conventional MPV design, which works in its favour when it comes to space and practicality. The new EV gets all LED illumination including automatic headlights, tail lamps and indicators. It also sports 18-inch alloy wheels, auto rain-sensing wipers and flush door handles.

MG Windsor EV: Features
The MG Windsor EV boasts a 15.6-inch infotainment system, the largest in the segment, with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and apps like JioSaavn and an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster. Additionally, it features a backseat that reclines up to 135 degrees, electrically adjustable front seats, rear AC vents and a comprehensive 360-degree camera system, among other features. It is the first mass-market vehicle to come with a glass roof. It features a 6-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, leather-wrapped steering wheel and 256 multi-colour cabin ambient lights. The EV could miss out on a 4-way powered front passenger seat and powered tailgate, which the international model gets.Â
MG Windsor EV: Safety
The international model of the Windsor EV, the Wuling Cloud EV, is equipped with Level 2 ADAS, but based on reports, the MG EV may not come with this safety suite. The Windsor EV is expected to be equipped with 6 airbags, a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control, hill hold control (HHC), electronic parking brake with auto hold function, tyre pressure monitoring system etc.
MG Windsor EV: Battery Specs
MG Motor has not officially announced the battery specifications, but reports suggest two potential options. The base model may feature a 37.9 kWh battery, and the top-tier variant could include a 50.6 kWh battery. Drawing from the international model, the Wuling Cloud EV, the 50.6 kWh battery is expected to deliver 134 bhp and 200 Nm of torque, offering a range of 460 km. Charging times are estimated at 7 hours from 20 per cent to 100 per cent using an AC home charger, and 30 minutes from 30 per cent to 100 per cent with a DC fast charger.
