JSW MG launched the M9 – The Presidential Limousine, which will exclusively be sold at MG Select outlets. What is unique about the M9 is that it is India’s first premium all-electric multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) and is available at an introductory price of Rs 69.90 lakh, ex-showroom. Interested buyers can log in to MG’s official website or visit an MG Select dealership to book the MG M9 by paying a booking amount of Rs 1 lakh. MG has further announced that the deliveries will commence from August 10.
MG M9: Performance and Battery
MG is offering only one fully loaded M9 variant, which is powered by a 90 kWh nickel-manganese-cobalt battery pack and a single motor based on the front axle. It produces 242 bhp and 350 Nm of torque. The luxury MPV offers three drive modes — Normal, Eco and Sport. According to MIDC, the M9 offers a driving range of up to 548 km on a single charge. MG is offering an 11 kW wall charger along with a 3.3 kW portable charger as a standard feature. It charges from 30% to 80% in 30 minutes. The automobile manufacturer is offering a lifetime warranty on the battery for the first owners and a vehicle warranty of 3 years/unlimited kilometres.
MG M9: Exteriors
The M9 sports a typical boxy design of an MPV and a trapezoidal mesh grille with all LED lights, including headlamps with connected DLRs and taillights. The rear lamps are designed in a waterfall style. The vehicle drives on 19-inch ContiSeal TM (self-sealing) tyres and gets heated ORVMs for all weather conditions. It is available in three colours — Pearl Lustre White, Metal Black and Concrete Grey.
MG M9: Features and Space
The M9’s presidential seats get multiple features like 16-way adjustment, 8 massage settings, heating and ventilation. Equipped with a yacht-style dual sunroof, the M9 cabin gets plenty of natural light. The cabin has 64-colour ambient lighting and a 13-speaker sound system, including a subwoofer and amplifier.
The M9 has Cognac brown leather and suede-wrapped seats and a flexible storage space of up to 1720 litres with the third row folded and a 55-litre frunk.
