MG has announced that the prices of the Hector SUV will go up by up to Rs 40,000. With the price hike, the MG Hector now costs Rs 15 lakh, ex-showroom. The carmaker had reduced the price of the Hector in September this year and has now hiked it again.
The MG Hector will continue to be sold in six variants: Style, Shine, Smart, Smart Pro, Sharp Pro, and Savvy Pro, while being offered with a petrol or a diesel engine mated to a manual or a CVT gearbox.
The MG Hector’s petrol engine is a 1.5-litre unit that makes 141bhp mated to a manual or a CVT gearbox, while the diesel engine on offer is a 2.0-litre mill that makes 168bhp, mated to a manual gearbox only.
