MG Motor is set to start a new chapter in India by launching its first fully-imported Completely Built Unit (CBU) model in the form of Cyberster. The fully-electric roadster made its India debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Ahead of its official launch, the battery-powered sports car has created a new record.
The Cyberster has managed to break the record of the fastest 0-100 kmph acceleration on the Indian solid. The battery-powered roadster was able to achieve the same in 3.2 seconds, and thus made its name in the India Book Of Records and Asia Book Of Records. The 0-100 kmph sprint was conducted at the Sambhar Salt Lake in Rajasthan.
MG Cyberster: Design
The Cyberster will be the first model to be retailed via the company’s new MG Select range of dealerships. The Cyberster takes design cues from the legendary 1960s MGB Roadster, blending its classic charm with a low-profile stance, elongated hood, and contemporary aerodynamic contours. One of its most eye-catching features is the dramatic scissor doors, reminiscent of the golden era of supercars.
Adding to its appeal, this breathtaking convertible comes equipped with a retractable hardtop and striking 20-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, connected LED tail lights with arrow-shaped indicators provide a sleek, modern touch.
MG Cyberster: Interiors & Features
The Cyberster’s cabin is designed with the driver in mind, featuring a high-tech cockpit with three digital instrument clusters—a central 10.25-inch display flanked by two 7-inch screens. The convertible roaster is loaded with all bells and whistles, including an 8-speaker Bose sound system, 6-way power-adjustable seats, a 4-way adjustable steering wheel, luxurious leather upholstery, two USB ports, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, and voice command functionality. The retractable roof operates swiftly, taking just 15 seconds to open or close.

In terms of safety, the Cyberster is equipped with a comprehensive suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), offering features such as lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, emergency braking, and collision warning. Additionally, it includes six airbags, a 360-degree camera, a traction control system, an Electronic Stability Program (ESP), blind spot monitor, and a tyre pressure monitoring system, etc.
MG Cyberster: Battery & Motor specs
MG had previously revealed the powertrain specs of the Cyberster. The electric sportscar will feature a dual-motor, all-wheel drive setup The combined output from this dual-motor setup is 504 bhp and 725 Nm of peak torque. There are four drive modes on offer: Comfort, Custom, Sport and Track. The dual-motor setup derives the energy from a 77 kWh battery pack which MG claims to be the thinnest at 110mm.

To ensure a dynamic experience from behind the wheels, the roadster will come with a front double wishbone along with a rear five link independent suspension, ensuring smooth traction and overall stability.
