MG Motor India is doing everything possible to bring in more customers to its showrooms. After slashing down prices of its entire portfolio, MG is now making crucial updates to its lineup. The Chinese-owned British brand has now launched two new variants of the Comet EV named Excite FC and Exclusive FC.
Priced at Rs 8.24 lakh and Rs 9.14 lakh, respectively, the Excite FC and the Exclusive FC trims come with fast charging options. Price for the micro electric hatch starts at Rs 6.99 lakh (all prices ex-showroom). In fact, MG has renamed the previous nomenclature of Push, Play, and Pace in favour of Executive, Excite, and Exclusive.

MG Comet EV: Features & Specs
Both new variants offer a host of safety and advanced features such as electronic parking brake, electronic stability control, rear disc brakes, hill-hold control, power foldable ORVMs, turn indicator integrated DRLs, creep mode and body-coloured ORVMs along with AC fast charging options.
Other notable features include a10.25-inch dual-screen setup for infotainment and driver’s instrumentation with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and over 55 connected car features, and keyless entry. It also offers more than 100 voice commands to control the EV, including 35+ Hinglish Commands.

The fast charging option is now expected to bring down the Comet’s charging time of 7 hours and 5 hours to under 2 hours. That said, MG is yet to reveal full details of the fast charging options. Based on the modular GSEV (Global Smart Electric Vehicle) platform, the Comet EV is powered by a 17.3kWh battery which delivers energy to an electric motor mounted on the rear axle churning out 41 bhp and 110 Nm of peak torque.
