Maruti Suzuki‘s sales in July 2025 were flat, having sold marginally more than it did in July 2024. The carmaker sold a total of 137,776 units in the domestic market last month, and in various segments, two of them saw growth, while others saw a YoY decline. So here’s a detailed look at Maruti Suzuki’s sales and how each segment performed in July 2025.
Maruti Suzuki July 2025 sales — Segment-wise breakdown
Maruti Suzuki sells a wide variety of vehicles in India, from small hatchbacks to larger SUVs. The mini segment – which consists of the Alto and S-Presso – were once the bread and butter for the carmaker. However, over the years, sales in the segment saw a decline, and in July 2025, the carmaker sold 6,822 units as compared to selling 9,960 units in July 2024, a YoY decline of 31 percent.
Maruti Suzuki’s compact segment, which consists of the Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift, and WagonR, saw growth compared to last July. This segment saw sales of 65,667 units in July 2025, as compared to 58,682 units sold in July 2024, recording 11 percent growth. Some of Maruti Suzuki’s best-sellers are in this segment, such as the Dzire – best-seller in June 2025 – and the Wagon R, which is a consistent best-seller for the carmaker.
When the two segments are compared on a Month-on-Month basis, the mini segment registered sales of 6,414 units in June 2025, while the compact segment accounted for 54,177 units. When compared to June 2025 sales, Maruti Suzuki has seen a growth in both segments.
