Maruti Suzuki, India’s largest carmaker, announced the culmination of the inaugural season of the ROCK N’ ROAD 4X4 Masters championship. The off-roading spectacle, tailored for passionate off-roaders and Jimny owners, came to a finale in Goa, crowning Mihir Dharkar as the champion from the city of Mumbai.
Accompanying Mihir on the podium were Shantanu Grover from Delhi and Gurmeet Virdi from Chandigarh, securing their positions as the first and second runners-up, respectively. Along with other prizes, the winner and the first runner-up of the championship won a rare opportunity to witness the Rainforest Challenge in Malaysia, one of the world’s toughest offroad championships.
On the successful completion of the first season of this one-of-a-kind off-roading event, Shashank Srivastava, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki India, said, “The success of Rock N’ Road 4X4 Masters championship Season 1 marks a significant milestone in our endeavour to provide Jimny owners with the ultimate off-roading experience.”

Launched in January 2024, the inaugural season of the Rock N’ Road 4X4 Masters championship captivated off-roading enthusiasts across the nation. Designed to provide Jimny owners with a stage to put their off-roading skills to the test, the championship witnessed participation from over 200 enthusiasts from 8 cities – Delhi, Chandigarh, Shillong, Hyderabad, Vagamon, Bengaluru, Mumbai/Pune, and Goa.
The championship was structured in two phases – qualifiers, organized across 8 cities, followed by a grand finale in Goa. The ‘Rock N’ Road 4X4 Masters championship allowed Jimny owners to test their skills across a multitude of challenges such as ascents, descents, and undulations across varying off-road terrain.
