India’s largest car maker Maruti Suzuki has announced a price hike across all its models and variants ranging from Rs 1,700 to Rs 17,000 (Ex-Showroom, Delhi). The reason cited by the company is due to the increase in commodity and other administrative and distribution costs, the company decided to go for this price revision. Post the announcement of GST this is the first price revision by the market leader and is probably the last auto maker to revise it’s prices. Earlier in December 2017 almost all car makers announces price hike by about 3 percent and this has now become a common norm at the end of every year.

In other news, Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch its highly awaited 2018 Swift at the Auto Expo 2018. There have been reports on the internet that selected dealers have started accepting bookings for the new Maruti Suzuki Swift in India unofficially. According to some dealers, customers who book the current generation Swift will get the new Swift automatically in case the stock of the former gets exhausted. The 2018 Maruti Suzuki Swift is expected to come with 1.2-litre K-series petrol and 1.3-litre DDIS diesel engine options.

Recently, Maruti Suzuki has teased its Concept Future S that will make its debut at Auto Expo 2018 next month. Looking at the teaser image, it seems that the car will come with an SUV like stance and it will be based on a compact car design language. Besides, the carmaker is also expected to showcase its Ciaz facelift. The said model has been spotted on test multiple times in recent times and it is expected to come with changes both inside and out. The new Maruti Suzuki Ciaz will also support both, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Not only this, the company will also likely showcase the new Maruti Ertiga and the same has been spied testing in recent times.
