To honour the brave soldiers who sacrificed their life in service of the nation, Maruti Suzuki, announced its association with the Indian Air Force (IAF) and Uttarakhand War Memorial for the Vayu Veer Vijeta Rally, with tags like Himalayan Thunder and “Wings of Glory”. With the ceremonial flag-off on October 1, at the National War Memorial, by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Maruti Suzuki, the car rally also aimed to encourage youth to join Indian Armed Forces. The formal flag-off from THOISE Air Force Station is scheduled for October 8.
Vayu Veer Vijeta Rally: Details
The car rally will be joined by three former Air Force Chiefs in various legs, and will include 52 participants including Air Warriors, women officers, veterans, and representatives from the War Memorial. The total distance to cover from THOISE Air Force Station in Ladakh to Tawang Air Force Station in Arunachal Pradesh is 7000 km, equipped with 12 Maruti Suzuki Jimny SUVs, navigating through tough terrains.
Supported by PHDCCI (Progress, Harmony, and Development Chambers of Commerce and Industry), the rally will have 16 halts, 20 interactions with students and youth in schools and colleges enroute, aiming to create awareness about the Indian Armed Forces and inspire the youth to consider an illustrious career in the service to the nation.

The rally will pass through key regions such as Leh, Kargil, Srinagar, Jammu, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Agra, Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Darbhanga, Bagdogra, Guwahati, Tezpur to reach Tawang.
The Maruti Suzuki Jimny will support Indian Air Force teams in navigating tough terrains from Ladakh to Tawang.
