Maruti Suzuki launched the highly anticipated Jimny in May this year. With prices starting at Rs 12.74 lakh (ex-showroom), the general opinion about the 5-door Jimny is that it’s too pricey, especially for a subcompact SUV. Keeping this in mind, the company has launched a new more affordable version of Jimny.

Called Thunder Edition, it is a limited-run model of Jimny with prices starting at Rs 10.74 lakh and going up to Rs 14.05 lakh (ex-showroom). The Thunder Edition is available across all the four variants of Jimny lineup and available for sale only for December 2023.

This unit is paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. All variants get a 4×4 drivetrain with a low-range gearbox.
