India’s best-selling sedan, the Dzire, topped the Bharat NCAP safety crash test by earning a 5-star rating. It is the only sedan in the Indian market to receive such ratings and Shri Nitin Gadkari, Hon’ble Minister of Road Transport and Highways presented the Bharat NCAP certificate to Maruti Suzuki.
India’s number one automobile manufacturer has been focused on safety and recently announced that within this year, all passenger vehicles sold by the company will be equipped with 6 airbags. Currently, 10 models come equipped with 6 airbags as a standard feature across variants like the Alto K10, Celerio, WagonR, Eeco, Swift, Dzire, Brezza, Grand Vitara, Jimny and Invicto. Furthermore, Maruti Suzuki offers Electronic Stability Program+ (ESP) as a standard feature across all variants and all models.
Maruti Suzuki Dzire: Bharat NCAP ratings break up
Maruti Suzuki Dzire scored a 5-star rating for both Adult Occupant Protection and Child Occupant Protection. The sedan received 29.46 out of 32.00 points for the Adult Occupant Protection rating.
It received 14.17 out of 16.00 points in the Frontal Offset Deformable Barrier Test and 15.29 out of 16.00 In the Side Movable Deformable Barrier Test.
In Child Occupant Protection, the Dzire scored 41.57 out of 49.00 points. It further upped the game with a Dynamic score of 23.57 out of 24.00, a CRS installation score of 12.00 out of 12.00 and 6.00 out of 13.00 for Vehicle assessment.

The Dzire is packed with safety features like standard 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Program+ (ESP), Hill Hold Assist and ABS with EBD. Along with that, the top variants come with features like 360 View Camera (HD), Day/ Night Adjustable IRVM, Speed-sensitive auto door locking, Front Seat Belt with Pre-Tensioner & Force Limiter, high-speed warning alert, 3-point seat belts for all seats, seat-belt reminder lamp and buzzer for all occupants, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, LED fog lamps, reverse parking camera & sensors and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
