Mahindra launched the 5-door version of the Thar called Thar Roxx earlier this month. With prices starting at Rs 12.99 lakh for the petrol manual and Rs 13.99 lakh for the diesel manual variants, Thar Roxx is available in both rear-wheel drive (RWD) and four-wheel drive (4WD) configuration, although the carmaker is yet to reveal prices for the latter.
Mahindra is offering the Thar Roxx in six trims namely MX1, MX3, MX5, AX3L, AX5L, and AX7L. The company has now released visuals of the mid-spec AX3L on the internet. A video of the same uploaded on the official Mahindra Thar YouTube channel highlights the features on board the AX3L variant of Thar Roxx.
Mahindra Thar Roxx AX3L: Features on offer
The mid-spec Thar Roxx AX3L trim shown in the video is wearing a black shade. Outside the cabin, tjhe off-roading SUV is equipped with features such LED headlamps, taillamps, and turn indicators, and 18-inch steel wheels. It misses out on LED DRLs, LED projector front fog lamps, and 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.
Inside the cabin, this variant is equipped with features such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment display, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless smartphone, charging, push button start/stop, auto dimming IRVM, cruise control, etc. More importantly, the AX3L trim boasts of ten Level 2 ADAS features including adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, etc.
Other features on offer in the AX3L variant include steering mounted controls, rear AC vents, a semi-digital instrument console comprising analog dials and a digital MID, automatic headlamps, automatic wipers, auto climate control, electric parking brake with Auto Hold function, and connected features via AdrenoX.
Mahindra Thar Roxx AX3L: Powertrain specs
Mahindra Thar Roxx AX3L is exclusively available with a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine which pushes out 173 bhp and 370 Nm of peak torque. This variant is only offered with 6-speed manual transmission which sends power to the rear wheels. No 4WD is offered in this trim. The AX3L variant of Thar Rixx is priced at Rs 16.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
