2025 Thar 3-door: 10 big upgrades to the SUV

While the overall silhouette and core mechanicals remain untouched, the updates focus on premium features and added convenience, many of which are derived from the recently launched Thar Roxx.

1. Body-coloured radiator grille: The radiator grille is now finished in the same colour scheme as the body shell. This makes it look slightly refreshing than the outgoing model. No LED headlamps, though.

2. Dual-tone bumper: A silver trim has been added to both front and rear bumpers, contributing to a dual-tone aesthetic that makes it seem more premium.

3. Rear parking camera: The SUV now features a rear parking camera for improved safety and ease of maneuvering.

4. Rear washer and wiper: The rear windscreen is finally equipped with a washer and wiper, which is a highly requested feature for enhancing visibility in adverse weather.

5. Pillar-mounted grab handles: New grab handles mounted on the pillars make ingress and egress significantly easier, particularly to the rear seats.

6. Door-panel power window switches: Power window controls have been relocated from the center console to the door panels, improving ergonomics.

7. Larger infotainment screen: Higher variants now get a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen unit, replacing the previous 7-inch system. The new infotainment unit supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.

8. Adventure stats: The new display provides info on a host of unique off-roading parameters, including altitude, bank angle, pitch, and yaw angles, all positioned under a feature called ‘Adventure Stats.’

9. Sliding front armrest: The front armrest now features a sliding mechanism for better driver and passenger comfort.

10. Rear AC vents: Rear passengers in the Thar still don’t get dedicated doors, but they now have individual rear AC vents. This addition should allow for better passenger comfort in the second row.
