Mahindra & Mahindra has announced its overall auto sales for the month of December 2023. The Chakan based automaker sold a total of 60,188 units in the last month of the year, registering an overall YoY growth of 6%, excluding exports.
In the Utility Vehicles segment, Mahindra sold 35,171 vehicles in the domestic market, a growth of 24% and overall, 36,349 vehicles, including exports. The overall passenger vehicle sale for December 2023 stood at 35,174 units. In November this year, Mahindra sold 39,981 units of SUVs and passenger vehicles which led to a -12% MoM decline in December.

Between April and December 2023, Mahindra managed to dispatch 333764 SUVs and 333777 units of passenger vehicles. This translated to yearly jump in sales by 29% and 28%, respectively.
According to Veejay Nakra, President, Automotive Division, M&M Ltd., “In December, we sold a total of 35,171 SUVs, a healthy growth of 24% over last year. We continued to face some supply challenges on select parts. We are working closely with our suppliers to mitigate these challenges going forward”.
In terms of exports, Mahindra dispatched a total of 1819 units in December 2023 in comparison to 3,100 units during the same period last year. This resulted in a 41% YoY decline,
