After making its debut a couple of months ago, Kia has finally launched the Syros in India at an introductory starting price of Rs 8.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Production of the SUV started in mid-January while deliveries are slated to commence within the next 10 days. The Syros is priced a lakh over the Sonet— Kia’s other sub-4 metre SUV offering.Â
Kia is offering the Syros in as many six trims namely HTK, HTK (O), HTK+, HTX, HTX+, and HTX+ (O). The price for each variant is mentioned below.

Kia Syros: Powertrain & Mileage
Kia will offer the Syros with two engine options — a 1-litre turbo petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel. The 1-litre turbo petrol engine produces 118 bhp and 172 Nm of torque, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. According to ARAI, the manual version delivers 18.20 kmpl, while the DCT returns 17.68 kmpl.

The 1.5-litre diesel engine generates 114 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. It comes with two gearbox options — a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic torque converter. The manual version offers a fuel efficiency of 20.75 kmpl, while the automatic returns 17.65 kmpl.
Kia Syros: Features
The Kia Syros is packed with several segment-first features, including six parking sensors with side detection, flush door handles, and a 30-inch integrated display that combines the infotainment system, driver’s instrument cluster, and virtual climate controls. It also supports over-the-air (OTA) updates. A key highlight is its highly adaptable rear bench, which offers reclining, sliding, and a 60:40 split configuration. While the rear seat base is ventilated, the backrest lacks this functionality. Additionally, the Syros features a 4-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat for enhanced comfort.
On the safety and technology front, the Syros comes equipped with 16 radar-based Level 2 ADAS functions, an Electronic Stability Program (ESP), and three traction modes—Rain, Snow, and Mud. It also includes a built-in dash cam, all-around disc brakes, six airbags, a 360-degree camera, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and hill-hold assist, ensuring a secure and confident driving experience.
