Kia unveiled the Carens Clavis in India last week, which the company says is a more premium alternative to the existing Carens. Pre-bookings for the new MPV have commenced from May 9 onwards at a token amount of Rs 25,000 via Kia’s official website or an authorised dealership.
It has now come to light that prices for the new Carens Clavis will be announced on 23 May 2025. Kia has already revealed the Clavis in its entirety. The MPV will be offered in seven trims namely HTE, HTE(O), HTK, HTK+, HTK+(O), HTX & HTX+. It gets a wide range of updates over the existing Carens.
Kia Carens Clavis: Exterior Updates
As revealed in earlier teasers and spy shots, the Kia Carens Clavis showcases the brand’s new Digital Tiger Face design, highlighted by a fresh split headlamp setup at the front. Key exterior features include Starmap LED connected taillamps, 17-inch crystal-cut dual-tone alloy wheels, front and rear skid plates with a Satin Chrome finish, side door garnish inserts with Metal Paint, and a striking new Ivory Silver Gloss body colour.

In terms of colour options, the Clavis will be available in a wide range of shades: Ivory Silver Gloss, Pewter Olive, Imperial Blue, Glacier White Pearl, Gravity Grey, Sparkling Silver, Aurora Black Pearl, and Clear White.
Kia Carens Clavis: Interior & Feature Updates
The Kia Carens Clavis is available in both six- and seven-seat configurations, with the six-seater variant featuring bench seats in the second row. The Clavis stands out for its more upscale cabin, finished in a Triton Navy and Beige dual-tone theme, complemented by premium Beige and Navy Leatherette upholstery.
On the feature front, the Clavis is packed with a host of premium offerings, including a twin 26.62-inch panoramic display, dual-pane panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, a dual-camera dash cam with mobile connectivity, front ventilated seats, in-built navigation, and a Bose premium audio system. It also features a Boss Mode, allowing second-row passengers to electronically adjust the co-driver’s seat position for enhanced legroom and comfort.

When it comes to safety, the Carens Clavis is equipped with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), which include Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Collision Warning, Lane Keep Assist, and Lane Departure Warning. Complementing these advanced features are standard safety provisions like six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), front and rear parking sensors, a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and a 360-degree camera system.
Kia Carens Clavis: Powertrain
The new Kia Carens Clavis retains the same powertrain setup as the regular Carens including a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. Transmission options include 6-speed manual, 6-speed clutchless manual (iMT), 6-speed torque converter automatic, and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.
