Kia launched the Carens Clavis last month at a starting price of Rs 11.50 lakh (ex-showroom). A more advanced version of the existing Carens, Kia has now started with the deliveries of the Clavis across the country. The company is also gearing up to launch the fully-electric version of the Carens Clavis next month.
Ahead of its imminent launch next month, the electric MPV has been spotted testing. The latest spy images show a fully-camouflaged test mule of the Clavis EV wearing a red number plate registered in Andhra Pradesh. This will be Kia’s first mass-market electric vehicle (EV) for the Indian market.
Kia Carens Clavis EV: Expected Design & Features
Previous and the latest spy images suggest that Carens Clavis EV will be visually identical to its combustion-powered sibling, barring a different badging and a new set of aero alloy wheels. At the front, it is likely to sport triple-pod LED headlamps set within a triangular housing, sleek LED daytime running lights, a closed-off grille, and other distinctive design touches.

Inside the cabin, the Clavis EV is anticipated to retain the same layout, prominently featuring a 26.62-inch dual panoramic display that integrates the touchscreen infotainment system with the digital instrument cluster. Additional expected features include front ventilated seats, a 4-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, a wireless charging pad, an 8-speaker BOSE premium audio system, and ambient lighting.
Safety is expected to be managed by Level 2 ADAS features, including adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, high beam assist, and driver attention warning. The package is also likely to include a tyre pressure monitoring system, front and rear parking sensors, a dual-camera dash cam, and a 360° camera with a blind view monitor integrated into the instrument cluster. Notably, the Clavis EV will also offer Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) charging capabilities.
