At the launch of the 2025 Altroz, Autocar India reported that the company is looking to introduce the AMT with the Altroz CNG. Currently, there’s no official confirmation from Tata Motors about the Altroz CNG AMT or the timeline of the launch.

Tata Altroz CNG: Features

The Altroz CNG comes standard with six airbags, 16-inch wheels, reverse parking sensors, 3-point seat belts, a 4-inch digital cluster and remote keyless. The Tata hatchback is the first in its segment to offer flush door handles as a standard feature. In 2023, the Altroz was the first car in India to come with a twin-cylinder 60-litre CNG tank and the new continues to offer this. Due to this dual tank, the Altroz CNG offers a practical boot space of 210 litres.

With a single advanced ECU, the Altroz switches between CNG and petrol mode automatically without affecting fuel efficiency. The hatchback can directly be started in CNG mode, which is a first in its segment.
