Renault is looking to expand its footprint beyond its comfort zone, the European market, by unveiling the much-awaited Boreal. The 7-seater SUV will be manufactured in India. Based on the Kardian, this architecture is also used for the new Renault Duster. By producing the Boreal in both Brazil and Turkey and later in India, Renault ensures that the vehicle is manufactured close to its target markets, optimising logistics, reducing costs, and enhancing agility in meeting local consumer needs. As the centrepiece of Renault’s €3 billion International Gameplan, the Boreal is designed for over 70 countries, with a specific focus on Latin America, Turkey, the Middle East, and the Mediterranean, where demand for family SUVs is rapidly growing.

Built on Renault’s ultra-flexible modular platform, it enables adaptation to different markets and supports a variety of body styles and technologies. The Boreal stands out with sculpted lines, a bold grille featuring the illuminated Nouvel’R logo, 19-inch alloy wheels, and a panoramic sunroof. The Boreal is 4,556 mm in length, with a 2,702 mm wheelbase, a width of 1,841 mm, a height with roof bars of 1,650 mm and an unladen ground clearance of 213 mm. The Boreal has a boot capacity of 586 litres, which can be expanded to 1,770 litres.
