Ahead of its debut at the Rio 2016 Olympics’ inaugural event, pictures of production-ready Nissan Kicks have surfaced online. Set to be launched in several markets, the Nissan Kicks is based on the Kicks concept that was unveiled in 2014 at the Sao Paulo Motor Show.
The Nissan Kicks compact SUV will be first launched in South America by the end of 2016, and is expected to come to the Indian market sometime in 2017. While the production-ready version of the car looks largely similar to the original concept, the company has tweaked its grille and front-fascia a bit. The vehicle has been designed by Nissan Design America San Diego and Nissan Brazil design studio satellite together under the guidance of Global Design Center Nissan, Japan.

The Brazilian version of the Nissan Kicks is expected to get a 1.6-litre flex-fuel powertrain, though the Indian model might borrow its engines from the Terrano i.e. – 1.5-litre diesel and 1.6-litre petrol. The Kicks is based on the Micra platform on which the Nissan Sunny too is built.
More details on the product will be revealed upon its unveiling on May 2, 2016. Check out this space for more updates on the same.
