Hyundai has introduced some crucial updates to the Grand i10 Nios. The hatchback was once the highest selling model in its segment, but the Korean carmaker lost interest in the small car segment in recent years. Hence, the sales volume of the Grand i10 is not what it used to be.
Taking cognizance of the fact, the Korean carmaker has introduced a new variant of the Grand i10 Nios. The new Sports (O) trim is positioned above the Corporate trim and is available in both manual and automatic variants, priced at Rs 7.72 lakh and Rs 8.29 lakh (both ex-showroom), respectively.

Hence, the Sports (O) trim sits second from the top-spec Asta trim in the Grand i10 Nios lineup. It gains some features over the next best Corporate trims. On the exterior, the Grand i10 Nios Sports (O) gets 15-inch diamond cut alloy wheels and door handles laced with chrome. Additional convenience features added to this trim include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, fully automatic climate control, and smart key with push button stop/start.
Mechanically, there are no changes in the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios. It is powered by a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated Kappa petrol engine which pushes out 82 bhp and 114 Nm of peak torque. This motor is paired with either a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT gearbox. The Nios comes in CNG guise as well which utilises the same engine with a lower output of 68 bhp and 95 Nm of torque. The CNG variants are only offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
