Gippy Grewal is a known face in the Punjabi film and music industry. The actor-singer is also known to have a long list of luxury cars both in Punjab as well as Canada, where he resides with his family most of the time. Recently, Grewal was in the news for something he isn’t commonly associated with.
A couple of weeks ago Grewal called out a Mahindra dealership based out of Mohali, Punjab for “unprofessional conduct”. He stated that he had been repeatedly facing some issues with two units of Scorpio-N which he bought for his team in December 2024. Not only was he not offered any kind of support, Grewal claimed he was met with rude, arrogant, and disrespectful behaviour from the staff.
Gippy Grewal reaches out to Anand Mahindra
Grewal publicly expressed his grievance on his X handle where he tagged Mahindra and the company chairman, Anand Mahindra. His post highlighted this unprofessional behaviour by the Mahindra dealer and attached screenshots of the mail sent to Anand Mahindra. In the mail, Grewal listed out all his complaints regarding the dissatisfactory experience in the store and the problems faced by his two Scorpio-Ns.
For the first vehicle, Grewal complained that LED lights and infotainment screen began blinking and disconnecting from the phone. Further, the digital instrument console stopped working intermittently. The second Scorpio-N also faced similar electronic problems. On top of this, there was a noticeable and concerning gap in the boot space, which appeared to be a manufacturing defect.
Grewal didn’t stop and alleged that executives at the Mahindra dealer named, Mahindra Raj Vehicles, made crude remarks threatening to deny entry of his car inside the dealership. Additionally, he also requested a copy of his entry and exit logs from the dealership which the staff denied.
The singer ended his e-mail on an optimistic note, mentioning that he is confident that if the Mahindra management looks into this matter, he, along with his team, can reach a fair resolution.
Mahindra addresses concerns
It seems Grewal with his long and elaborate X post caught Anand Mahindra’s attention, who is known to be very active on social media. The singer recently put out another post thanking Anand Mahindra and the company for addressing his concerns. He went on to add that he is happy with the resolution which restores his faith in the brand. He ended the post by thanking the dealership — Mahindra Raj Vehicles.
