Maruti Suzuki continues to dominate the Indian passenger vehicle market even though its share has fallen in the last decade which currently stands at just over 40 percent. Over the years, the Indo-Japanese carmaker’s strategy has shifted from focussing on the small car segment to more premium models.
Yet, Maruti is the only car manufacturer that continues to offer small and micro segment models in India. In 2024, we witnessed models like the new-gen models of Swift and Dzire getting launched in the country. Let us look at all prospective Maruti Suzuki models to get launched in 2025.
Maruti Suzuki e Vitara
The year will start with the e Vitara. The company’s first electric vehicle is slated to make its debut in India at the Bharat Mobility Expo on January 17. The electric SUV broke cover in its final production form at the latest edition of EICMA last November. India will be one of the first markets to receive the e Vitara, since it will be manufactured at Suzuki’s facility in Gujarat.

Based on a 2,700 mm wheelbase, the e Vitara is 4,275 mm, 1,800 mm in width, 1,635 mm in height and a ground clearance of 180 mm. The e Vitara will be available in two battery options — 49 kWh and 61 kWh. The former is only available in 2WD while the latter is available in both 2WD with a single motor and the AWD with twin motors on each axle. The 49 kWh has an output of 142 bhp and 189 Nm of torque while the single motor 61 kWh produces 172 bhp and 189 Nm. The top-of-the-line AWD mode churns out 181 bhp and 300 Nm.
Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara 7-seater
Another prospective launch bearing the Vitara nameplate could be a seven-seat version of the Grand Vitara. A test mule of the same was recently spied under heavy camouflage. Although most of the exterior was under wraps, we could deduce a change in styling over the current Grand Vitara. Details regarding its specs, features or launch timeline is very scarce as of now. When launched, it will rival the likes of Hyundai Alcazar, Mahindra XUV700, and Tata Safari.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno facelift
The Baleno received its last update in 2022. There are reports that Maruti Suzuki will launch a facelifted Baleno in the coming calendar year. The upcoming iteration of the premium hatchback is expected to receive minor styling tweaks along with a new engine.
The Baleno is expected to receive the new 1.2-litre Z-series naturally aspirated 3-cylinder petrol engine which made its debut in the fourth-gen Swift earlier in May 2024. However, reports indicate that in the new Baleno, this engine could benefit from a hybrid setup as well which will improve fuel efficiency.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza facelift
Maruti Suzuki gave the Brezza a major update in mid-2022. The subcompact SUV is one of the highest-selling models in its segment but with rising competition from rivals, frequent updates are a norm. The updated Brezza could be launched in mid-2025 and could offer features such as a bigger touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital driver’s display, ventilated, and powered front seats and 6 airbags (as standard).
