Maruti Swift has been an iconic model for the Indian car market even though it made its debut less than two decades ago. The small hatchback has gained cult status in the country for many different reasons. Be it performance, comfort or fuel efficiency, Swift has made its mark in almost every aspect of passenger vehicles.
For almost two decades, Swift has been one of the highest-selling PVs in India consistently month after month. The different TV commercials of Swift have also played a significant part in enhancing its popularity.
Ahead of the launch of the fourth-gen Maruti Swift in India, slated to take place in the first half of May, let us look at the different commercials of Swift that made it to our TV screens over the years.
First-gen Maruti Swift (2005)
The first generation Maruti Swift was launched in 2005 and along with it came its first TV commercial where a couple is seen enjoying the first drive on a Swift. Swift was also the first Maruti car to come with the option of a diesel engine. Take a look at Swift’s first commercial from 2005.
First-gen Maruti Swift facelift (2009)
The facelifted Maruti Swift was launched in 2009 and its TVC highlights the car’s ‘swift’ nature. The protagonist in the video is able to cross the empty road just moments before the Swift comes rolling down. Check the video below.
Second-gen Maruti Swift (2011)
Swift earned a second generation model in 2011. The highlight of the second-gen model was the addition of ABS which was showcased in the TV Commercial.
Second-gen Maruti Swift facelift (2015)
The facelift to the second generation Swift was launched in 2015. This iteration of Swift gained many new features including an engine start/stop button which is highlighted in the TVC. Check out the video below.
Third-gen Maruti Swift (2018)
Maruti received another generation upgrade in 2018. It was the first time a commercial of Swift was directly launched on YouTube instead of first arriving in the satellite television space. The commercial carried the catchy phrase of “Be Limitless”. Take a look at the video below.
Third-gen Maruti Swift facelift (2021)
The third-gen Swift made its debut in 2021 and carried forward the “Be Limitless” campaign with this model. It get a few minor cosmetic and feature updates over the previous model but remained the same for most parts. Check the commercial below.
