A brand-new Maruti Suzuki Swift, still beaming its celebratory red ribbon, met a brutal fate when a truck tipped over and unleashed a torrent of bricks onto the unsuspecting hatchback. The owner, who hadn’t even had the chance to remove the auspicious ribbon, watched helplessly as their fresh-off-the-lot ride was buried under the debris.
Maruti Suzuki Swift fatal mishap
A video posted on Instagram by DriftXP captured a tragic incident involving a Maruti Suzuki Swift. The hatchback, parked on the side of the road, was struck by a heavily overloaded truck carrying bricks. The truck, unable to handle the weight, lost its balance and leaned onto the Swift.
This caused bricks to tumble from the truck’s cargo area, severely damaging the Swift’s bonnet, roof, left side, and shattering both windshields. A nearby Hero HF Deluxe was also caught in the chaos, sustaining collateral damage from the falling bricks.
Maruti Suzuki Swift: No safety ratings out yet
The Swift is playing hard to get with its safety scores, much like that student who won’t show their homework, leaving everyone in suspense. Meanwhile, its sedan sibling, the Dzire, is proudly flaunting its 5-star safety rating. But the Swift? It’s staying quiet. We’ll hold off on making any claims and wait for the experts to put it through a crash test to see if it can live up to its sibling’s safety standards.
