We don’t have exact numbers to prove if seven-seat cars are still a rage in the market or not, but masses still aspire for seven-seat cars that are affordable with many of them being fleet operators. Let us take a look at the five most affordable seven-seat cars on sale in India.
Renault Triber
Price: Rs 6 lakh – 8.98 lakh (ex-showroom)

Renault Triber is the most affordable seven-seat MPV in the country today. Available in four variants— RXE, RXL, RXT, and RXZ, it is powered by a 1-litre naturally aspirated 3-cylinder petrol unit, available with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT. This engine pushes out 71 bhp and 96 Nm of peak torque. Key features offered include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 7-inch digital driver’s display, and wireless phone charger. It also gets steering-mounted controls, and push-button start/stop.
Maruti Ertiga / Toyota Rumion
Price: Rs 8.69 lakh – Rs 13.73 lakh (ex-showroom)

Maruti Ertiga comes next in the list which is priced from Rs 8.69 lakh to Rs 13.03 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). There is also a Toyoya version of the same MPV named Runion which is priced between Rs 10.44 lakh to Rs 13.73 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Powering both versions of the MPV is a 1.5-litre petrol engine with mild-hybrid technology paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
This motor kicks out 102 bhp and 137 Nm of peak torque. The CNG variant, available in Ertiga, pushes out 87 bhp and 121.5 Nm of torque.
Mahindra Bolero/Bolero Neo
Price: Rs 9.95 lakh – Rs 12.15 lakh (ex-showroom)

Mahindra offers Bolero and Bolero Neo at roughly the same starting price of Rs 9.95 lakh and Rs 9.98 lakh (both ex-showroom), respectively. Bolero is available in three trims: B4, B6 and B6(O), while the Bolero Neo is offered in four variants including N4, N8, N10, and N10(O). Although a very distinct top hat, underneath both SUVs are very similar. Both SUVs are powered by the same 1.5-litre diesel engine paired exclusively with a 5-speed manual transmission. This motor kicks out 99 bhp and 260 Nm of peak torque.
Kia Carens
Price: Rs 10.52 lakh — Rs 19.67 lakh (ex-showroom)

Kia offers Carens in 10 broad trims including Premium, Premium (O), Prestige, Prestige (O), Prestige Plus, Prestige Plus (O), Luxury, Luxury (O), Luxury Plus and X-Line. The Korean carmaker offers a plethora of engine and transmission options. Engine options include 1.5-litre NA petrol, a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol, and a 1.5-litre diesel mill. Transmission options include a six-speed manual, seven-speed DCT, and six-speed torque converter.
Citroen C3 Aircross
Price: Rs 11.96 lakh — Rs 14.11 lakh (ex-showroom)

Prices for the seven-seat variants of C3 Aircross start at Rs 11.96 lakh (ex-showroom) and available in two broad trims– Plus and Max. Powering the C3 Aircross is a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine mated to either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed torque converter. This engine kicks out 109 bhp and 190 Nm of peak torque.
