The Citroen Basalt is a much-talked-about upcoming launch, owing to its design and its competition with the Tata Cirvv. Before the vehicle’s official debut on August 2, a few dealerships have started taking in bookings for the Basalt.
Interested customers can book the Citreon Basalt for Rs 25,000 at an authorised Citroen dealership across India. Deliveries for the same will happen later after the Basalt has been unveiled and the prices are announced.
Based on the C3 Aircross, the Citroen Basalt will feature a 10.2-inch infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, navigation, a wireless charger, a sunroof, auto AC, cruise control, and a digital instrument cluster amongst others.
The Tata Curvv rivalling Citroen Basalt will be powered by the same 1.2-litre petrol engine that powers the C3 Aircross, which makes 109bhp and 215Nm of torque, with the help of a manual or an automatic torque converter gearbox. While the Basalt gets just one engine choice, the Tata Cirvv will have petrol, diesel, and an all-electric option.
