BYD may not be a household name in India yet, but the company aims to tap into the premium electric vehicle (EV) market in the country with its high-end offerings including the Atto 3 SUV and the Seal sedan. The Chinese EV brand has updated the Atto 3 range making it more accessible for buyers in India with prices starting at Rs 24.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
The updated 2024 BYD Atto 3 is now available in three new variants– Dynamic, Performance and Superior. The new base-spec Dynamic trim now comes with a smaller battery pack making it more accessible than the original price tag of Rs 33.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Below are the prices for each variant.

Besides the new variants, BYD is also offering a new Cosmos Black colour scheme. The updated Atto 3 is available for bookings in all 26 dealerships present in 23 cities across the country.
2024 BYD Atto 3: Specs & features
The base-spec Atto 3 Dynamic comes with a 49.92 kWh battery pack which is good enough to return a range of 468 km (ARAI) on a single charge. The mid-spec and top-spec variants of Atto 3 feature a 60.48 kWh battery pack which delivers a range of 521 km (ARAI) on a single charge. All three variants are powered by a single electric motor mounted on the rear axle, producing 201 bhp and 310 Nm of peak torque.
The USP of BYD is its unique Blade battery that can be charged from 0-80 percent in just 50 minutes using a DC charger. The base variant supports only a 70 kW DC charging option, whereas the other two variants support up to 80 kW fast charging option. Besides, BYD also offers 7kW and 3kW home charging options for added convenience.
In terms of features, BYD Atto 3 comes loaded with a 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 5-inch driver’s display, 6-way power adjustable driver’s seat, adaptive LED headlights, multi-colour ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, an 8-speaker audio system, and powered tailgate.
Safety package on offer in the updated Atto 3 include seven airbags, electronic stability program (ESP), hill descent control, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), a 360-degree camera, and ISOFIX child-seat anchorages as standard fitment across the range. The top-spec trim also comes with an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS).
