An assembly line at BMW’s plant in Munich had to be shut for 40 minutes, which cost the company a loss of $1 million. Turns out that two employees had smoked a joint in the locker room before beginning work and collapsed on duty, according to a report on Bild. The two workers were assigned the exhaust assembly area at the BMW plant, and were supposed to be working in the evening shift. You know that feeling when you’re slightly high, but feel confident that there is scope for more and end up doing more of whatever you were intoxicating yourself with.
A similar case with the two workers, but unfortunately at a very wrong place at a very wrong time, the assembly line of expensive cars in this case. While one of them had reportedly consumed alcohol before rolling up a joint, the other had already been high on amphetamine. (amphetamine: These are synthetic stimulants that are used for medicinal purposes, but some choose to abuse it as a drug.)
Both employees obviously collapsed and one of them had to be taken to a hospital. What do you reckon happened next? One was fired, the other was sent to another work site, the report said.
Being stoned off your mind is never a good idea, you end up doing things involuntarily or how it happened at BMW’s Munich plant, collapsing. And even as it’s not something that adults need to be told, but being high while on work isn’t a recommended form of recreation. Especially, if you end up costing your company a million dollars.
