BMW has launched the all-new X3 in India at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The fourth-gen X3 broke cover in September 2024 and it is now set to hit the Indian streets. The new-gen X3 is available in two variants: xDrive20 M Sport and xDrive20d M Sport, priced at Rs 75.80 lakh and Rs 77.80 lakh (both ex-showroom).
2025 BMW X3: Powertrain options
BMW is offering both petrol and diesel engine options for the new X3. The xDrive20 M Sport variant is powered by a 2-litre 4-cylinder in-line turbo petrol engine which produces 188 bhp and 310 Nm of peak torque. The xDrive20d M Sport is powered by a 2-litre 4-cylinder in-line diesel engine which dishes out 195 bhp and 400 Nm of peak torque.
Both engine options come mated exclusively to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Both petrol and diesel variants come with all-wheel drive functionality and a 48V mild hybrid setup as standard which significantly improves performance as well as efficiency. The X3 also benefits from adaptive suspension with electronically controlled dampers that enhance driving dynamics.
2025 BMW X3: Design
The 2025 BMW X3 boasts a refreshed exterior with a prominent grille flanked by sleek LED headlights featuring distinctive daytime running lights. While maintaining its familiar SUV silhouette, the X3 now rides on new 19-inch alloy wheels and showcases softer lines for a more elegant appearance. From the rear, the X3 draws inspiration from the XM with its slender Y-shaped taillights. The license plate has been relocated to the bumper for a cleaner look.
As standard, the India-spec X3 comes equipped with the M Sport package, enhancing its visual appeal with features like larger front air intakes, a blacked-out kidney grille, M-specific side skirts, M High-gloss Shadowline trim, and a sporty rear apron with an integrated diffuser. The standard 19-inch M light-alloy wheels further emphasize the vehicle’s sporty character.
2025 BMW X3: Interiors & Features
The 2025 BMW X3 boasts a modern interior with a redesigned dashboard featuring ambient lighting. Key interior highlights include a 14.9-inch touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, and a premium 15-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. Additional features enhance comfort and convenience, such as multi-color ambient lighting, wireless phone charging, cruise control, a panoramic sunroof, and tri-zone climate control.
Safety is guaranteed by features such as with multiple airbags, a comprehensive suite of Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS), electronic stability control, hill descent control, a tire pressure monitor, parking assist, and a 360-degree camera.
