Auto Expo 2018: With just a few days to go for the Auto Expo 2018, one of the largest players in the Indian Automotive space will be looking to change the pace of the impending tide with some exciting products from across the spectrum including some exciting Electric Cars  a new Hyundai i20 and whole lot more out of Hall Number 3 at the Auto Expo 2018 in Greater Noida.

Interestingly 2018 will also mark 20 years of Hyundai in India. Which makes the Auto Expo 2018 even more impetuous, with 15 new cars on the way including the i20 facelift, that comes with an optional CVT automatic, the Ioniq sedan that is available internationally as a hybrid, plug-in hybrid or all-electric model, to the Kona EV SUV and one of their new N-badged performance cars, which is likely to be either the new Veloster N or the i30 N. The manufacturer’s India line-up, which includes the Eon, Grand i10, i20, Active i20, Xcent, Verna, Elantra, Creta and Tucson, are also expected to be on display.

Kona EV at 2018 Auto Expo

The second vehicle on Hyundai’s list is their recently launched Kona SUV, and while the Kona exceptional design does set it apart, the interiors are the real draw, the India spec Kona is likely to feature an optional 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system which uses Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The Kona will also get optional wireless smartphone charging pad, a heads-up display system and an 8 speaker Krell surround sound system. Now while all specs are certainly not confirmed yet, we suspect that Hyundai might skip the autonomous safety features like emergency braking, lane assist and blind spot detection.

Elite i20 at 2018 Auto Expo

In the mix ahead of the 2O18 Auto Expo is a much overdue facelift for Hyundai Elite i20, which now gets characteristic family lines like the flowing front grille from the Hyundai Verna.Additional changes include redesigned fog lamps, headlamps and a sharper designed bumper that continues the family DNA from the Xcent compact sedan. Being one of Hyundai’s strongest volume drivers in the segment, the Elite i20 is likely to get some additional equipment to make it more competitive vis-a-vis the Swift, which is also scheduled for launch ahead of the 2018 Auto Expo.

Aside from hardcore automotive products, Hyundai will also be focusing on customer engagement, with nine experiential zones for Auto Expo 2018  audiences – an Eco-friendly zone that will showcase the Ioniq EV, a Mobility zone where the N-badged car will be displayed, a Robotics zone to showcase Hyundai’s technology, the Kona zone for the Kona SUV, an Award zone to commemorate the carmaker’s anniversary, a Sports zone, a Kids zone, a Road safety zone and a Jai Ho zone, which will have all of Hyundai’s current India product line.
