JSW MG has unleashed the Pro mode of the Windsor, India’s number one electric vehicle, for the last seven months. The Windsor Pro gets plenty of crucial feature updates, including a bigger battery and state-of-the-art safety features, which is absent in the standard version. Originally priced at Rs 12.50 lakh for battery rental and Rs 17.50 lakh without subscription, the Windsor EV Pro now starts at Rs 13.10 lakh for the former and Rs 18.10 lakh (ex-showroom), reflecting a Rs 60,000 price hike.
MG Windsor Pro: 52.9 kWh battery
Aiming to drive away range anxiety, MG has introduced a bigger 52.9 kWh battery with claims of a range of up to 449 km. The standard Windsor gets a 38 kWh battery and offers around 332 km of range. MG has not made any changes to the output of the EV, hence, the Windsor Pro produces 134 bhp and 200 Nm of torque.

MG Windsor Pro: Level 2 ADAS
Another major update is the introduction of the Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) suite. The Windsor Pro boasts 12 ADAS features, including adaptive cruise control, bend cruise assistance, lane keep assist, lane departure prevention, automatic emergency braking system, forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian detection, etc.
MG Windsor Pro: Powered tailgate
MG has added an electronic tailgate, which adds more convenience, and offers a boot capacity of . The Windsor Pro also sports a new set of 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. Both of these are inspired by the Hector Plus.
MG Windsor Pro: V2V and V2L
The Windsor Pro is more than just an electric vehicle, as it comes with Vehicle-to-Vehicle and Vehicle-to-Load functions. With V2V, the Windsor EV Pro can act like a mobile charging station and power up another EV. V2L, on the other hand, allows the MG EV to supply power to external devices or appliances.
MG Windsor Pro: Spruced-up interiors
Being a more premium EV than the standard Windsor, the Pro comes in dual-tone ivory-black interiors with faux wooden finish. The 15.6-inch infotainment system gets a new soft update so that it can accommodate the ADAS features.
