2025 Tata Punch EV updated with faster charging, new colours

Prices of Tata Punch EV starts at Rs 9.99 lakh and goes up to Rs 14.44 lakh (both ex-showroom).

Tata Motors is the market leader of electric passenger vehicles in the country but it has been facing some stiff competition from Mahindra, Hyundai, and MG Motor off late with the recent influx of electric vehicles (EVs) launched. The company has provided a crucial update for the Punch EV — one of its highest-selling battery-powered vehicles.

2025 Tata Punch EV: What’s new?

The sub-compact electric SUV now gets two new colour schemes namely— Pure Grey and Supernova Copper. Both these shades are offered with a black roof option as well. The latest update expands the colour palette to seven, featuring shades like Empowered Oxide, Seaweed, Daytona Red, Pristine White, and Fearless Red, along with the newly introduced options.

The other big update is that the Punch EV can now be charged via a 1.2C DC fast charger that can recharge the battery from 10 to 80 per cent in 40 minutes. In other words, using this DC fast charger one can add up to 90 km to the tank with only 15 minutes of charging. Besides these two charges, there are no other updates to the Punch EV

2025 Tata Punch EV: Features

Tata Motors offers a long list of features with the Punch EV. Some of the most notable ones are a 10.25-inch dual-screen setup comparing a touchscreen infotainment system and a digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control with an air purifier, ventilated front seats, a 6-speaker audio system with two tweeters, a single-pane electric sunroof, and ambient lighting. In terms of safety, it comes with six airbags as standard, a 360-degree camera, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, and electronic stability control (ESC).

2025 Tata Punch EV: Powertrain

Tata Punch EV is offered in two battery options: Medium Range (MR) and Long Range (LR). The former gets a 25kWh battery that claims a range of 265 kilometres on a single charge. This powertrain produces 81 bhp and 114 Nm of peak torque. On the other hand, the LR version gets a larger 35kWh battery that promises a single-charge range of 365 km. This version of Punch EV cranks out 120 bhp and 190 Nm. Both versions come with a single-motor, front-wheel drive layout.
