The premium hatchback segment is fading, but Tata Motors is still betting on it with the updated 2025 Altroz, set to launch on May 22. This revamped Tata hatchback will challenge the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Toyota Glanza, and Hyundai i20. Recently spotted testing on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, the new Altroz reveals fresh details ahead of its official debut.
2025 Tata Altroz: Design
The latest spy image shows the rear design of the Altroz, though it was heavily camouflaged. The 2025 Altroz gets newly designed LED tail lamps with connected LED lights across the tailgate. The hatchback comes with restyled front and rear bumpers. The spy image reveals that the rear hands are tucked inside the C-pillar. The hatchback will get a new set of 16-inch alloy wheels along with flush door handles. Moving on to the front, the 2025 Altroz sports a new front grille along with reworked twin pod LED headlights and split headlight styling.

2025 Tata Altroz: Features
The Altroz sports the new two-spoke Tata steering with an illuminated logo, along with toggle controls and switches. The hatchback is packed with twin 10.25-inch displays — the infotainment system and the digital driver’s console. The current Altroz gets a 7-inch touchscreen. The hatchback is expected to come with front ventilated seats like the Altroz Racer. Apart from this, it boasts a wireless phone charger, rear air conditioning vents and an 8-speaker sound system.
2025 Tata Altroz: Safety
The Altroz is one of the safest vehicles in its class as it scored a 5-star safety rating from Global NCAP. The 2025 hatchback is expected to be equipped with six airbags instead of two, height-adjustable seat belts, ISOFIX anchorage for child seats, electronic stability program and reverse parking sensors.

2025 Tata Altroz: Engine Options
The Altroz will continue to be the only hatch to come in a diesel option, along with a 1.2-litre turbo with two output trims and a 5-speed manual and a dual-clutch automatic transmission. The 1.5-litre diesel produces 89 bhp and only comes with a 5-speed gearbox. The hatchback will also come in CNG option.
