Shortly after Porsche took the covers off the all-new 911 range, the German supercar marque announced the prices of selected models under the iconic 911 brand. Porsche has listed the 911 Carrera and the 911 Carrera 4 GTS on its India website priced at Rs 19,899,000 and Rs 27,542,000 crore (both ex-showroom), respectively.
The luxury carmaker also announced that bookings of the two-door coupe sports car starts today while deliveries are expected to start by the end of this year. However, Porsche hasn’t specified any particular date for the deliveries. Like all the Porsche cars, the 911 Carerra range will be brought to India as fully-imported CBU models.

Porsche 911 Carrera: Hybrid powertrain
The 911 Carrera is a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged boxer engine which pushes out 390 bhp and 450 Nm of peak torque. As for performance, this version of the 911 sprints from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.1 seconds (3.9 seconds with the Sport Chrono package). It can clock a top speed of 294 kmph.
The 911 Carrera 4 GTS, on the other hand, is a different story altogether. The biggest highlight of this version is the all-new T-Hybrid powertrain featuring an all-new 3.6-litre boxer engine working in tandem with a hybrid system featuring a 12V battery and two electric motors. The first electric motor located in the exhaust gas turbocharger functions as a starter generator developing 11kW (15 bhp) of electric power.

The second is a more powerful permanent magnet synchronous motor which complements the boxer engine with a boost of 40kW (54 bhp) and 150 Nm of torque. The boxer engine pushes out 480 bhp and 570 Nm of peak torque. In combination with the hybrid system, the powertrain dishes out a mammoth 535 bhp and 610 Nm.
As for performance, the 911 Carrera 4 GTS comes standard with the Sports Chrono Package and hence it goes from 0 to 100 kmph in a meagre 3.0 seconds and can clock a top speed of 312 kmph. Transmission duties on both 911 Carerra and Carrera 4 GTS are carried out by an 8-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission.
