JSW MG Motor has launched an updated version of the Astor in India. Prices for the Astor start at Rs 9.99 lakh and go up to Rs Ra 17.56 lakh (both ex-showroom). The latest iteration of Astor gets small updates over the MY2024 model and a new branding. MG has rebranded the Astor calling it the “Blockbuster SUV” in its latest advertorial campaign.
In the latest avatar, Astor gets an updated Shine variant which now comes equipped with a panoramic sunroof. Priced at Rs 12.48 lakh (ex-showroom), it is now the most affordable SUV in its segment to offer a panoramic sunroof. Six airbags are now a standard feature from the Select trim onwards.

Additionally, the Astor is now available with the Ivory interior theme as standard for all variants. Only the top-spec Savvy Pro gets the option of a Sangria trim. Other new features include wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, i-Smart 2.9 Advanced UI, and front ventilated seats. The rest of the equipment remains unchanged.

Speaking of features, MG Astor comes equipped with amenities such as 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a fully-digital instrument cluster, a 6-speaker audio system, over 80 connected car features, auto dimming IRVM, and voice recognition system from Jio. In terms of safety, the Astor boasts of 14 Level 2 14 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features.
2025 MG Astor: Powertrain
In a major change, MG Motor has dropped the 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol engine from the lineup. The Astor is now available with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine which can be hand with either a 5-speed manual transmission or an 8-speed CVT automatic unit. This motor puts out 109 bhp and 144 Nm of peak torque.
