Maruti Suzuki is the only major player remaining in the small car market. Although numbers have noticeably declined over the past few years, the Indo-Japanese carmaker continues to offer affordable entry-level cars for first time buyers. The Alto K10 is currently the most affordable car on sale in India and the company has launched an updated version of the same.
In the latest iteration, the Alto has gained two features, apart from which it remains exactly identical to the 2024 model. The micro hatch is now available with six airbags as standard across all variants. As a result prices have increased by up to Rs 16,000. Prices for Maruti Alto K10 now start at Rs 4.23 lakh and go up to Rs 6.21 lakh (both ex-showroom).

2025 Maruti Alto K10: Features & Specs
Besides six airbags as standard, the Alto K10 has also been upgraded with 3-point seat belts for rear passengers. Other safety features on offer include an electronic stability program (ESP), reverse parking sensors, ABS with EBD, and a collapsible steering column. Additionally, the hatchback is equipped with a rear door child lock, engine immobilizer, high-speed alert system, front seat belt pretensioners with force limiters, a seat belt reminder with a buzzer, headlamp leveling, and a high-mounted stop lamp.

Apart from the upgraded safety equipment, Maruti has also upgraded the music system of the Alto K10 which now comes with four speakers instead of two. The rest of the feature list remains unchanged. Feature highlights include a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, keyless entry, steering-mounted controls, manually adjustable outside rear view mirrors (ORVMs), and a semi-digital instrument cluster.
Powering the Maruti Alto K10 is a 1-litre naturally aspirated dualjet petrol engine which delivers 67 bhp and 89 Nm of peak torque. This engine can be paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT. Additionally, the CNG variants of Alto K10 come with the same engine, producing 56 bhp and 82 Nm of torque. In the CNG guise, Alto K10 is exclusively paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. CNG variants also includes idle engine start/stop technology.
