MG Motor is leaving no stone unturned to upgrade its entire portfolio in India. The latest to receive updates is the Hector. MG Motor has been on a roll as both the month-on-month and year-on-year sales figures have been on an upswing. The YoY saw February 2024 witnessed a growth of 8.1 per cent as compared to last year. Last month, MG also managed to sell 4,532 units as compared to 3,825 units in January, which is an 18.5 per cent growth. Here’s all you need to know about the 2024 Hector’s two new variants — Shine Pro and Select Pro.
2024 Hector: New Digital Cluster
Both the Hector Shine Pro and Select Pro come with a brand new all-digital 7-inch LCD driver’s instrument cluster. The new variants get the 14-inch portrait infotainment system, 75 plus connected features, voice commands that recognize over 50 Hinglish, a navigation system by MapMyIndia and Wi-Fi connectivity. Â
2024 Hector: Features
Moving on to comfort and convenient features, the two new Hector trims push button start/stop ignition with a smart key, a digital Bluetooth key and key sharing option, cruise control and electronic parking. In terms of safety, the Shine Pro and Select Pro are equipped with all four disc brakes, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), traction control system, Hill Hold Control, ABS and EBD, brake assist, front and rear defogger, speed sensing auto door lock, ISOFIX child seat anchors and Level 2 ADAS.
2024 Hector: Exteriors and Interiors
Hector has added premium features on the two new variants like LED projector headlamps, sequential turn Indicators, LED connected tail lamps, and chrome-finished outside door handles. Apart from this, they also come with follow me home headlamps and cornering front fog lights. The Select Pro offers 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, while the Shine Pro features 17-inch silver alloy wheels. The cabin is all-black and has a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
2024 Hector: MG Shield warranty
The Shine Pro and Select Pro variants of Hector come with MG Shield after-sales service options. It gets a standard 3+3+3 package, which means a three-year warranty with unlimited kilometres, three years of roadside assistance, and three labour-free periodic services. Additionally, Hector owners will have customised options to extend their warranty or RSA or opt for the Protect plans which are the company’s pre-paid maintenance packages for a stress-free ownership experience.
2024 Hector: Reduced Prices
MG Motor has slashed the prices of the Hector as it now starts from Rs 13.99 lakhs which is Rs 95,000 less than the outgoing model. The Shine Pro is available in five trims starting from Rs 16 lakh to Rs 17.70 lakh. The higher variant, the Select Pro, comes in three variants and is from Rs 17.30 lakh to Rs 18.70 lakh, ex-showroom.
