The fourth generation Suzuki Swift officially made its debut at the latest edition of Japan Mobility Show, a couple of weeks ago. The hatchback witnesses some significant upgrades over the current model. In India, Maruti is expected to launch the new Swift, probably towards the latter end of next year.

2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift: Variants, Colour options
The Japan-spec Swift will be available in three variants— base XG, mid MX and top MZ. In total there are 13 exterior colour options to choose from the new Suzuki Swift including 9 monotone and 4 dual-tone shades. The single-tone paint options are – Caravan Ivory Pearl Metallic, Pure White Pearl, Premium Silver Metallic, Star Silver Metallic, Super Black Pearl, Burning Red Pearl Metallic, Flame Orange Pearl Metallic, Cool Yellow Metallic, and Frontier Blue Metallic.
The dual-tone options include – Pure White Pearl Gun Metallic With Black Roof, Cool Yellow Metallic With Black Roof, Burning Red Pearl Metallic With Black Roof, and Frontier Blue Metallic With Black Roof.
2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift: Dimensions
Dimensions of the fourth-gen Swift are slightly different from the existing model with different height, width, and length. It measures 3,860 mm in length, 1,695 mm in width, and 1,500 mm in height. As a result, it is 15 mm longer, 30 mm taller, and 40 mm narrower than the outgoing model. However, wheelbase remains identical to the outgoing model.

Cabin interiors of the upcoming Swift will receive a similar layout as the current crop of Maruti cars including Fronx, Baleno, and Brezza. It will boast of features such as a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, 360-degree parking camera with dashcam support, cruise control, automatic climate control, steering-mounted buttons, and push-button start/stop.
However, the biggest addition in the equipment of the fourth-gen Swift is the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) with features like autonomous braking assist, automatic high beam assist, and more. However, ADAS features in the India-spec Swift is still doubtful.
2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift: Engine specs, mileage
As mentioned in our earlier report, the upcoming fourth-gen Swift will replace the existing 1.2-litre 4-cylinder, K12 dual-jet petrol engine with a brand new 1.2-litre 3-cylinder Z series petrol mill. Codenamed Z12E, this motor will also be available with a mild hybrid setup that comes with a all-wheel drive as a standard fitment across all variants of the new Swift.
Suzuki hasn’t yet revealed output figures for the new-gen Swift but it is expected to push out a slightly higher output than 89 bhp and 113 Nm of torque in the current model. Further, it has been revealed that the non-hybrid version of the new engine claims a mileage of 23.4 kmpl whereas the mild-hybrid avatar can return a mileage of 24.5 kmpl.
