Hyundai has introduced the 2024 Alcazar update with prices starting at Rs 14.99 lakh, ex-showroom. The diesel variant is priced at Rs 15.99 lakh as an introductory offer. This three-row SUV comes in both 6-seater and 7-seater configurations. In addition to revealing the full price range of the updated Alcazar, Hyundai has also released the official fuel efficiency figures for the SUV.
Hyundai Alcazar: Powertrain
The Alcazar is available in two engine options — the 1.5-litre turbo petrol and the 1.5-litre diesel. Unlike the Creta, the three-row Alcazar does not offer the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. The turbo petrol churns out 157.5 bhp at 5500 rpm and 253 Nm at 1500 – 3500 rpm. It is paired with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. This is the same powertrain that’s shared with the Creta and the Verna.
The 1.5-litre diesel powertrain produces 114 bhp at 4000 rpm and 250 Nm at 1500 – 2750 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic torque converter. The tried-and-test 1.5-litre diesel is also available in the Venue and the Creta.Â
Hyundai Alcazar: Fuel Economy
