Renault India has just dipped the prices of its popular SUV Duster in India by up to Rs 1 lakh. The company has increased the localisation of the product and hence, it has decided to pass on the benefits to its customers. After the discounts have come into the picture, the price of the new 2018 Renault Duster now starts at Rs 7.95 lakh for the petrol and Rs 8.95 lakh for the diesel trim (both prices, ex-showroom, Delhi). A few months back, the new generation model of the Duster was introduced globally by the company’s sister brand Dacia. The launch of the new Renault Duster will take place in India in the coming months. Renault Duster is the second best selling model by the company in India after the Kwid hatchback. The Renault Duster has crossed 1 million unit sales globally.
Talking about specific changes, the new Renault Duster will come with a revised headlamp set up with new DRLs (Daytime Running Lights). The bonnet of the SUV also sees some revisions and it now gets a U-shaped line. The new Renault Duster will be available for sale in both petrol and diesel engines. The SUV will be offered with both, manual and automatic transmissions and will get an optional all-wheel-drive system as well.

Commenting on the price dip, Sumit Sawhney, Country CEO and Managing Director, Renault India Operations, said, “Renault had one of the highest localization done on KWID with 98% at the time of launch. We are happy to pass on the benefits to the new Duster customers making it more attractive across the range enabled by our aggressive localisation strategy on Duster as well.”
