Renault’s sister brand, Dacia has revealed the next generation Duster before its official unveiling at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show. The new Duster will launch in France and UK in 2018. The next gen Duster gets cosmetic updates at interior and exterior, while it will continue to be based on the current generation Duster platform. The new Duster gets wider headlamps, a redesigned grille, scratch resistant silver skid plate at the front and rear bumper and rear headlamps pushed to a corner. Also, its gets aluminum roof rail bars, 17-inch alloy wheels and the windscreen has removed 100mm forward to improve cabin space. The cabin details have not been revealed it is expected that the SUV might get an improved infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. As the company says the next gen Duster will come in the 5 seater configuration only. The European version of next gen Duster will continue to be powered by a 1.5-litre diesel and 1.2-litre petrol engines, the car manufacturer has tuned the engine to deliver improved fuel efficiency and performance. The next gen Duster will get two-wheel-drive and selectable four-wheel-drive versions. In terms of safety, the 2018 Duster will come with more safety features such as autonomous braking and more tech options.
Renault is expected to launch new Duster by next year in India. The Indian version of the 2018 Duster will be powered by a 1.5-litre diesel motor that is paired to a 5-speed manual transmission, a 6-speed manual gearbox and an AMT. The India version of Duster will get ABS with EBD and dual airbags as standard.
