Pretty much every enthusiast has either dreamt of or once had a Royal Enfield motorcycle. The legendary nameplate is, in many ways, woven into the DNA of us Indians. Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal is no different. A YouTube video revealed that the leg spinner was hanging out with a well-known gamer, Parv Singh, popularly known as Soul Regaltos, where both were revving up a Royal Enfield Continental GT 650. According to CarToq, the café racer belonged to another prominent Indian gaming content creator, Raj Varma, also known as Snax Gaming.
Blistering barnacles moment for Chahal and Soul Regaltos
Based on the video uploaded by SeewithDarshil on YouTube, Soul Regaltos and Chahal were at Snax Gaming’s house. The host asked the other two to come down to his garage so that he could show them this modified Continental GT 650. Chahal timidly fired up the café racer by standing beside it and gently twisting the throttle. With a custom-built exhaust, the bike growled to life, which surprised Singh as he stood still with a dazed look. Chahal, on the other hand, was enjoying the exhaust note like it was music to his ears, and then the cricketer called the gamer to have a go at the throttle.
Singh, without giving a warning, twisted the accelerator fully, and the bike belted out a loud roar. Hearing this, Chahal quickly covered his ears and stepped away from the Royal Enfield café racer. Once Singh’s adrenaline rush simmered down, Chahal decided to saddle up on the bike and have a go at the throttle. Unlike Singh, he didn’t yank the rev control; rather, he twisted it in a measured manner and looked to be lost in the muffler tone.
Royal Enfield Continental GT 650: Specifications and Price
The Continental GT 650 is one of the first 650cc motorcycles in the Royal Enfield lineup, along with the Interceptor 650. Both motorcycles are powered by a 648 cc inline twin-cylinder with a maximum power of 47 bhp at 7,250 rpm and 52.3 Nm of torque at 5,150 rpm. The motorcycles are mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The Continental GT 650 has a ground clearance of 174 mm, a 12.5-litre fuel tank and is equipped with a 320 mm front disc brake and a 240 mm disc at the rear with dual-channel ABS. The Continental GT 650 starts from Rs 3.26 lakh to Rs 3.52 lakh, ex-showroom Chennai.
