It feels someone has turned back the time and has revived the old rivalry of TVS Motor and Bajaj Auto in the 200cc segment. Bajaj burst into the scene with the Pulsar series which was runaway success. TVS introduced the Apache RTR lineup and the 200cc version was nothing short of being revolutionary for the segment at that time. Come to 2025, TVS has now launched the new Apache RTR 200 4V, which squares off against its old foe, the recently updated Pulsar NS200. The 2025 TVS Apache RTR 200 4V sees a big update in terms of front suspension

Apache RTR 200 4V is 197.75cc, oil-cooled single-cylinder engine is now compliant with OBD2B emission norms. The Apache RTR 200 4V makes 20.5 bhp at 9,000 rpm and 17.25 Nm of torque at 7,250 rpm. It is paired with a 5-speed gearbox via a slipper clutch. The Pulsar NS200 is powered by a 199.5 cc liquid-cooled engine mated to a 6-speed gearbox. It produces 24.13 bhp at 9,750 rpm and torque of 18.74 Nm at 8,000 rpm.

The Apache RTR 200 4V sports new red alloy wheels, LED headlight with DLRs and a digital instrument console with SmartXonnect that reads out race analytics, lean angle mode, crash alert, call and SMS alerts, turn-by-turn navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, and voice assistance. The system can be pre-set with essential stops like hospitals and fuel stations. It is equipped with with dual-channel ABS, three ride modes (Urban, Sport, and Rain), and adjustable clutch and brake levers. The Apache RTR 200 4V comes with a 270 mm front disc brake and a 240 mm at the rear. 

The Pulsar NS 200 comes with all-LED lights including the indicators and DRLs. The instrument console has Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, gear position indicator, distance-to-empty readout, instantaneous fuel economy an average fuel economy. Like the 2025 Apache RTR 200 4V, the Pulsar NS200 gets dual-channel ABS and upside down front forks and a USB charging port. It also comes with three ride modes — Road, Rain and Off-Road. In terms of brakes system, it has 300 mm front disc and 230 mm read disc.

TVS Apache RTR 200 4V is available in two variants, 2Ch R-Mode and USD costing Rs 1.75 lakh and Rs 1.80 lakh respectively (on-road, New Delhi). The Pulsar NS200 is priced at Rs 1.58 lakh, ex-showroom.
