The VLF Tennis electric scooter has received some updates for 2025, which include a new battery pack and a higher range.

VLF Tennis Electric Scooter updated for 2025: Gets more range

The VLF Tennis electric scooter was launched in India last year, a compact, stylish scooter, with a price tag of Rs 1.30 lakh. We rode it last year and we were impressed by its design and styling, but not its performance.

Now, the company has given the Tennis an update for 2025, while the battery pack now offers more range. So let’s look at the updates for the 2025 VLF Tennis.

2025 VLF Tennis: What are the updates?

Visually, in terms of design and styling, there are no updates. It carries forward the sleek, sporty design as before, along with chunky tyres. However, VLF is offering two new colours with the Tennis – Slate Blue and Ebony Black – which will be sold alongside the existing colour options.

The next date is in terms of features, as the Tennis now gets a phone charging port, an essential feature in today’s scooter segment. The scooter retains the TFT instrument cluster with phone connectivity.

2025 VLF Tennis: Battery specifications

This is another area where the scooter sees an update, and an important one. The scooter now gets a LMFP battery pack, and the company claims that this has helped extract a claimed range of 150km, 20km more than the previous battery pack.

The battery pack is enclosed in an aluminium casing that helps improve safety and heat management. The battery pack is mated to a 1.5kW hub motor that is good for a top speed of 65kmph — the same as before.

Hardware on the scooter also remains the same, and the 2025 VLF Tennis retains 12-inch wheels at both ends, disc brakes for the front and rear, telescopic forks for the front, and a monoshock at the rear.

2025 VLF Tennis: Pricing and competition

So, how expensive has the scooter become? Well, there is no change in price. The 2025 VLF Tennis retains its Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom) price tag, and given its range, it’s justified. However, the top speed of the scooter could have been higher.

The VLF Tennis is on sale in seven cities in India as of now – New Delhi, Sangli, Bengaluru, Kolhapur, Goa, Ahmedabad, and Pune – and it competes with leading brands such as Ather, TVS, Bajaj, Hero, and others in the electric scooter segment.
