TVS Jupiter is one of the highest-selling scooters in the country. Available in both 110cc and 125cc iterations, the Jupiter 110 received a significant makeover last year. Now, the Hosur-based manufacturer is planning to bring out an update for the Jupiter 125. The company has shared a teaser of the updated 125cc Jupiter on its social media handles.
The teaser only shares partial glimpses of the updated Jupiter 125 with its single-piece seat along with its single piece rear pillion grab rail. We expect to see the same set of updates on the 125cc Jupiter as seen in the updated Jupiter 110 launched in August last year. As a result, the new TVS Jupiter 125 is expected to look very different from the existing model.
After Honda Activa, which is also available in both 110cc and 125cc derivatives, TVS Jupiter is the most desired scooter brand in India, especially since the launch of Jupiter 125 in India last year. Let us look at what to expect from the updated TVS Jupiter 125.
2025 TVS Jupiter 125: Updates expected
The design of the TVS Jupiter 125 will most likely be identical to the updated Jupiter 110 which is inspired by TVS iQube. Up front, the new Jupiter 125 is expected to get a sleek LED headlight bar with integrated LED indicators within the cluster. It will also boast a full LED taillamp.
In terms of hardware, we expect the updated Jupiter 125 to come equipped with all-black 12-inch alloy wheels, telescopic front forks, a front disc brake, and a rear drum brake. Like the Jupiter 110, the 125cc namesake will also get a 2-litre glove compartment for extra storage below the USB charging port, and an external front fuel flap for added convenience, with the fuel tank positioned under the floorboard.
Coming to features, the TVS Jupiter 125 is expected to come equipped with an LCD digital instrument cluster to include Bluetooth connectivity with smartphones. This console provides call and SMS alerts, a ‘Find My Scooter’ feature to locate the scooter via the phone, and turn-by-turn navigation with voice assistance.
Mechanically, the 2025 Jupiter 125 is likely to remain unchanged. It will be powered by a 125cc single-cylinder engine which kicks out 8 bhp and 10.5 Nm of peak torque. This output is increased to 8.44 bhp and 11.1 Nm with the iGo Assist which was recently added to the Jupiter 125. This engine is paired with a CVT automatic gearbox.
